Two partnered with Transition, an energy-focused venture capital fund, to design their first dedicated London office after transitioning from a coworking space. The brief called for a sustainable, high-end workspace that would reflect Transition’s brand values, impress clients, and support future growth.
Project in Brief
- Sustainable, high-end workspace designed to reflect Transition’s brand values.
- Scandinavian-inspired interiors with natural materials and warm tones.
- Eco-conscious design featuring PEFC-certified wood and recycled materials.
Sustainability Meets Scandinavian Style
The design draws inspiration from the building’s industrial character, blending raw materials with refined finishes to create an inviting, contemporary workspace. A Scandinavian aesthetic underpins the interior, with light and dark timbers, beige tones, and clean lines contributing to a warm and sophisticated environment.
PEFC-certified wood flooring was used throughout, supporting responsible forest management, while recycled Durat worktops provided an eco-friendly yet durable surface solution. Retaining the exposed brick in the teapoint adds character and warmth, contrasting with the sleek engineered wood flooring that brings a polished, professional feel to client-facing areas.
Thoughtful Design for Functionality and Growth
The layout was planned to support both collaboration and focused work. Meeting rooms were designed with acoustic efficiency in mind, ensuring privacy for confidential discussions. Flexible partitioning solutions were integrated to allow for easy reconfiguration as the business grows, reducing the need for future renovations and minimising material waste. Natural materials and soft, neutral colours create a calming atmosphere, while thoughtful details, like integrated storage and ergonomic furniture, enhance the day-to-day working environment.
A Workspace That Reflects Purpose and Values
Transition’s new London office is a testament to the power of thoughtful, sustainable design. It’s more than just a workspace, it reflects the company’s identity by combining high-quality finishes with eco-conscious choices. The result is an environment that supports productivity and aligns with Transition’s commitment to sustainability, creating a lasting impression for employees and clients.
