Known as a leading British retailer of luxury Swiss watches, the company wanted a workspace that reflected their prestigious brand identity while creating a welcoming environment for their employees. The new headquarters balances contemporary office design with comfort, integrating design elements that celebrate their heritage and focus on employee wellbeing.
Project in Brief
- Designed a headquarters that aligns with Watches of Switzerland Group’s iconic brand identity.
- Developed a biophilic design theme inspired by the earth, landscape, and sky.
- Created neutral spaces that allow various brand identities to coexist effortlessly.
A Bold Transformation
The Watches of Switzerland Group headquarters was designed to accommodate their multiple brands under one roof. The project required neutral spaces that could adapt to the distinctive identities of each brand while ensuring a cohesive look and feel. The adaptable design allows the headquarters to evolve with future trends while staying inclusive and comfortable for the company’s long-serving employees.
The design was also influenced by the location in Leicester, where Watches of Switzerland Group has deep roots. The new workspace honours the company’s heritage while supporting its forward-looking ambitions, creating an inspiring space for employees and visitors alike.
Nature-Inspired Design Focused on Wellbeing
Nature played a central role in shaping the headquarters’ design. Each floor takes inspiration from natural elements, representing the earth, landscape, and sky. This biophilic approach brings a sense of calm and focus into the workspace, with greenery integrated throughout to enhance air quality and promote wellbeing. Breakout spaces have been designed to feel like luxurious lounges, blending hospitality-inspired comfort with productivity.
The headquarters reflects Watches of Switzerland Group’s commitment to their people and their legacy. By prioritising employee experience and incorporating thoughtful design elements, Modus created a workspace that connects this prestigious brand’s past, present, and future.
