Joseph Joseph, our long-standing client, needed more space and a refresh of their workspace. We designed their workspace in 2019 and partnered with them again to breathe new life into their space.
In brief:
- Utilised natural light to enhance the arrival experience, creating a lasting first impression
- Reused existing elements, upgraded furniture and expanded biophilic design with wooden elements and planting
- Integrated Joseph Joseph’s brand with bespoke meeting room designs
Reinforcing brand identity
The arrival experience was transformed by repositioning the reception desk to take advantage of the natural light. We installed planters along the back wall of the reception, to create a welcoming and impactful first impression.
Emphasising Joseph Joseph’s strong brand identity, we reinforced their brand with bespoke meeting room manifestations featuring silhouettes of their most recognisable household products.
A sustainable refurbishment
We reused existing elements to reduce waste. Upgrading the teapoint bar stools by adding backs we created a fresh look in the central teapoint. Changing the feature paint colour from green to terracotta provided an economical yet striking transformation.
Our original design included wood-panelled walls as a biophilic design feature, which we expanded on in this refurbishment. Our design, initially featuring wood-panelled walls as a biophilic element, was expanded to include wooden elements and planting throughout the workspace, creating a consistent design narrative throughout.
