
Ambit partnered with BentallGreenOak (BGO) to transform Level 4 of 7 Bishopsgate into a versatile Tenant-Ready™ workspace designed to meet the evolving needs of evolving needs of a modern workforce. Located in the heart of London, this project reflects a thoughtful approach to office design, blending functionality with aesthetic appeal. The aim was to create an adaptable environment that supports hybrid working models while maintaining a warm, inviting atmosphere for future tenants.

Designing for Flexibility and Growth
Drawing inspiration from Ambit’s previous projects within the building, the design for Level 4 focuses on flexibility. The layout accommodates a range of workstyles, from individual focus areas to collaborative zones. A key feature is a moveable wall between two meeting rooms, which can be reconfigured into a larger boardroom to support growing businesses. This adaptability ensures that the space can evolve alongside its occupants.
The open-plan design includes hot desking areas crafted with bespoke joinery to create multi-height workstations. This approach maximises the use of space and adds visual interest, breaking up the floorplate while maintaining a cohesive flow.
Creating an Inviting Atmosphere
To establish a warm and welcoming environment, the design team collaborated closely with BGO to select a harmonious colour palette. Terracotta feature walls in the teapoint area introduce a sense of comfort, while oak timber slatted walls and biophilic accents bring natural textures and earthy tones into the workspace. These elements work together to create a calm, balanced atmosphere supporting productivity and wellbeing.
Circular motifs are subtly integrated throughout the design, from the flooring patterns to ceiling details, softening the overall aesthetic and adding a sense of continuity across different areas. Combining natural materials and thoughtful design choices helps the space feel grounded and inviting.
