Sustainability

For people, places, and the planet.

Being a certified B Corporation means we’re part of a global movement driving change for people and the planet.

Sustainability is embedded in every decision we make, how we design, build, and invest in our people. As the parent company of Ambit, Two, Modus, Platfform, and Mytr, our Group brings shared purpose to every project. We’re held to high standards across all our operations, from governance and supply chain to wellbeing and community impact.

Our move to TIDE Bankside marks a significant step in aligning our operations with our B Corp goals. TIDE Bankside is Net Zero building, allowing us to significantly reduce our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, while providing increased connectivity and employee wellbeing.

The built environment contributes around 42% of global carbon emissions. That’s why every project across our group is delivered with intention. Whether through reducing embodied carbon, extending material life, or designing spaces that adapt and endure, we’re creating workplaces that are fit for the future.

With the UK on a path to Net Zero by 2050, our responsibility is to lead with action.

We’re reducing embodied carbon through reuse and retrofit, pushing innovation in materials and methods, and partnering with suppliers who share our vision. Each project is a chance to shape a fairer, lower-impact built environment that benefits people as much as the planet.

Each certification reinforces our accountability and transparency as a business:

Certified B Corp

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. As part of this global community, we’re committed to balancing profit with purpose, driving meaningful change through our work, people, and supply chain.

Being a B Corp means our entire group is legally required to consider the impact of every decision on our employees, clients, communities, and the environment. This framework ensures we grow responsibly and act with integrity across every project.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management

ISO 9001 is a global benchmark for quality management. It helps organisations improve performance, meet client expectations, and demonstrate their commitment to excellence. Achieving ISO 9001 means we’ve built consistent, reliable processes into every part of our business, from project delivery to stakeholder communication. Our systems are reviewed and refined continually, ensuring every workspace we deliver is both considered and consistent.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

ISO 14001 is an international standard for environmental management systems (EMS). It helps organisations continually improve their environmental performance through more efficient resource use, waste reduction, and greenhouse gas emissions. Achieving ISO 14001 means an organisation is taking proactive measures to minimise its environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve strict environmental commitments.

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management

ISO 45001 defines best practice for occupational health and safety. It ensures we identify and reduce risk, involve our workforce in decision-making, and maintain safe, supportive conditions across every project. Health and safety go beyond compliance; they’re part of our culture. From wellbeing programmes to site welfare, we put people first. Our commitment to safety underpins the quality of our work and the wellbeing of everyone who contributes to it.

Employee Testimonial

To be complacent is to be complicit. This is the ethos we adopt when it comes to the climate crisis and sustainable construction. We are in a position to make a positive impact on the planet and the communities in which we work.
