KPI OceanConnect, a global leader in marine fuels and shipping, sought Two’s expertise to redesign their newly expanded office space. Tasked with creating a cohesive workspace across two levels, the project was designed to enhance collaboration, reflect the company’s marine-focused identity, and accommodate their shared building with sister company Bunker Holding. The result is a dynamic environment tailored to KPI OceanConnect’s culture and operational needs.
Project in Brief
- Designed a cohesive workspace connecting two floors in a shared building.
- Incorporated brand-inspired features, including wave-style tiles and acoustic slat walls.
- Delivered an in-situ refurbishment to minimise disruption during the transformation.
Inspired by the Ocean, Built for Work
KPI OceanConnect’s brief centred on creating a workspace that facilitated easy movement between floors while encouraging employee interaction. Two introduced design elements that opened up the space and improved connectivity. A curved alcove at the entrance greets visitors, offering a professional and inviting first impression. Glass panels strategically placed throughout the office enhance visibility and create a sense of openness, reflecting the company’s transparent and collaborative culture.
The building’s location and shared tenancy with Bunker Holding influenced the design, ensuring that the workspace could support the needs of both companies while maintaining a distinct identity for KPI OceanConnect. Subtle brand touches, such as wave-inspired splashback tiles and acoustic slat walls, nod to the marine industry, creating a calming yet functional environment.
A Cohesive and Branded Workspace
The final design unifies two floors into a seamless, collaborative space tailored to the needs of KPI OceanConnect’s team. Breakout areas and open-plan layouts promote teamwork, while private zones provide spaces for focused work. Thoughtful attention to detail, such as material choices and design finishes, ensures the workspace reflects the company’s identity and values.
Balancing aesthetics with functionality, the redesigned office supports productivity, encourages connection, and celebrates KPI OceanConnect’s culture. The result is a dynamic environment that aligns with their global leadership in the marine industry.
